AI Chat Vault is a local-first Chrome extension for saving and exporting conversations from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

Data processed:

  • Conversation text, rendered HTML fragments, code blocks, title, source URL, site name, model label when visible, timestamps when visible, and user-created tags.
  • Extension settings such as auto-save toggles and default export format.

    • Where data is stored:

  • Conversations are stored locally in the browser profile using IndexedDB.
  • Settings are stored with `chrome.storage.sync`.
  • Exported files are created directly in the browser through user-triggered downloads.

    • What is not collected:

  • We do not collect analytics.
  • We do not track browsing activity.
  • We do not send conversation content to any server.
  • We do not call ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI provider API.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share user data.

    • Network use:

    The extension does not make remote network requests. It only reads the DOM of supported conversation pages that the user opens.

    Auto-save:

    Auto-save is off by default and can be enabled per site. When enabled, it saves the currently open conversation from that site into local IndexedDB. It does not browse other conversations or crawl account history.

    Deletion:

    Users can delete saved conversations from the Vault page. Uninstalling the extension also removes extension-owned local data according to Chrome’s extension storage behavior.

    AI Chat Vault는 ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini 대화를 저장하고 내보내기 위한 로컬 우선 Chrome 확장 프로그램입니다.

    처리하는 데이터:

  • 대화 텍스트, 렌더링된 HTML 조각, 코드 블록, 제목, 원본 URL, 사이트 이름, 화면에 보이는 모델명, 화면에 보이는 타임스탬프, 사용자가 만든 태그.
  • 자동 저장 토글과 기본 내보내기 형식 같은 확장 프로그램 설정.

    • 데이터 저장 위치:

  • 대화는 브라우저 프로필의 IndexedDB에 로컬로 저장됩니다.
  • 설정은 `chrome.storage.sync`에 저장됩니다.
  • 내보내기 파일은 사용자가 실행한 다운로드로 브라우저에서 직접 생성됩니다.

    • 수집하지 않는 것:

  • 분석 데이터를 수집하지 않습니다.
  • 브라우징 활동을 추적하지 않습니다.
  • 대화 내용을 서버로 보내지 않습니다.
  • ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini 또는 기타 AI 제공업체 API를 호출하지 않습니다.
  • 사용자 데이터를 판매, 임대, 공유하지 않습니다.

    • 네트워크 사용:

    확장 프로그램은 원격 네트워크 요청을 하지 않습니다. 사용자가 연 지원 대상 대화 페이지의 DOM만 읽습니다.

    자동 저장:

    자동 저장은 기본적으로 꺼져 있으며 사이트별로 켤 수 있습니다. 켜면 현재 열린 해당 사이트의 대화를 로컬 IndexedDB에 저장합니다. 다른 대화를 탐색하거나 계정 기록을 크롤링하지 않습니다.

    삭제:

    사용자는 Vault 페이지에서 저장된 대화를 삭제할 수 있습니다. 확장 프로그램을 제거하면 Chrome 확장 프로그램 저장소 동작에 따라 확장 프로그램 소유 로컬 데이터도 제거됩니다.
